Title: Instructor, Culinary Arts - 9/10 Month (Term) - Southeast Campus
POSITION SUMMARY
This is a full-time faculty position responsible for preparing and delivering quality instruction on topics in Culinary Arts in an equitable environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach courses via on-ground day and evening, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, faculty are expected to teach a minimum of 15 hours and hold in person and virtual office hours as defined in College Policy. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences. Utilize the College's learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated course syllabi prior to the first day of class. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Provide academic advising to students with an emphasis on retention and success. Remain current in the teaching area(s) through appropriate professional development activities.
Regularly check College email and departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours except on weekends. Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions. Administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities. Actively participate on divisional and institutional committees. Collaborate in building and maintaining relationships within and beyond the institution. Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts or a closely related field.
Three years' experience in culinary arts field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Industry certification in Culinary Arts
College-level teaching experience
Ability to teach a wide range of culinary courses from introductory to advanced
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated commitment to equity and accessibility. Demonstrated understanding of the community college mission and needs of student populations.

Rate of Pay: $41,051.00 to $51,314.00 annually, depending on experience
