Responsibilities

Join a strategic team focused on shaping growth and innovation at Baker Tilly. As a member of the Strategy & Innovation team, you will help develop and implement Baker Tilly's strategic initiatives. In a business environment marked by technological change, regulatory shifts, demographic trends, and evolving competition, you will analyze emerging developments to identify high valued solutions for our firm and clients. Your role will focus on designing services and performance efficiencies that deliver meaningful value to our clients both now and in the future.

You will work directly on defining, developing, and launching strategic initiatives that advance the Firm's capabilities. As part of our growing team, you will help advance our foundational processes and service development approach. You will guide projects through our innovation lifecycle, working closely with leaders across the Firm to develop and scale solutions that enhance our client relationships and service delivery models. We are looking for an individual with a strong executive presence and a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, who has a knack for getting people organized, rallied, and executing towards a unified goal. Someone who is a creative problem solver, nimble, detail oriented and brings a core set of project management and business analysis skills to the job, who can work independently to manage and deliver multiple concurrent initiatives.

  • Support the advancement of strategy & innovation initiatives aligned to Baker Tilly's strategy.
    • Work with Firm leaders to help define new innovative solution ideas, elicit, analyze, and document business requirements, build out the supporting plans to advance the ideas and lead the execution of the plan to a successful launch and adoption.
    • Utilize strong project management, organization and communication skills to coordinate multiple, concurrent running initiatives across different departments and with diverse stakeholder groups.
    • In collaboration with key stakeholders, analyze complex business opportunities and problems, identifying areas for improvement, and developing and documenting strategic solutions.
    • Collaborate with our Marketing, Sales, Enterprise Technology and other key enterprise solutions teams to effectively advance efforts that require their support and engagement.
    • Develop high-quality deliverables to support advancing innovation initiatives including; workshop agendas and presentations, idea requirements documentation, action / workplans, status reports, and stakeholder communications.
    • Contribute to active listening and monitoring of emerging market trends and collaborate with practice leaders to develop strategic responses.
    • Contribute to the advancement of our Firm's culture of innovation through facilitation of ideation sessions and innovation workshops across practice areas.
    • Contribute to the management of the Firm's innovation pipeline to effectively evaluate, prioritize, and explore new service offerings and process improvement initiatives.
    • Support key reporting and data capture to provide visibility to stakeholders on innovation activities and performance results.
    • Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or Industrial Engineering. Prior experience in a professional services firm is a bonus.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of related professional experience.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills required especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Requires professionalism, executive presence, diplomacy, strong project management skills, organization, creativity, ability to manage multiple project requests simultaneously in a timely manner, and ability to handle details while keeping an eye on the big picture.
  • Must be able to communicate (written and verbal) and present effectively with all levels of staff and work well in a team-focused environment.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with a high tolerance for change, naturally curious and inquisitive. Quickly absorbing new topics and tackling the learning curve.
  • Strong personal organizational skills to successfully balance the multiple concurrent initiatives and action items individual will be driving.
  • Strong operational and process-oriented mind-set.
  • Demonstrates the ability to determine the right level of detail and solution design in a fast moving, agile environment.
  • Strategic thinker and self-starter that can work independently and work cross-functionally.
  • Solutions oriented with a continuous improvement mindset, data driven and goal oriented.

The compensation range for this role is $95,280 to $174,820. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
