This job posting is for 2nd shift with a rotational work schedule of three 12 hours days 1 week and four 12 hours days the next week. The work hours are generally 12 hours a day and the shift generally start at 6:00 p.m. The starting base rate of pay is $25.40/hour, plus a shift premium of $1.00/hour. Starting pay can be higher based on experience. This position is also eligible for overtime pay. Team members must be willing to work overtime and weekends, as needed.

Job Responsibilities: - This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
- Responsible for keeping machinery running to maintain continuous production. This includes repairing and maintaining the operating conditions of the machinery and equipment, and troubleshooting problems that occur in the day-to-day operation of the facility.
- Performs work involving hydraulics, pneumatic electrical, and mechanics in general, as well as some welding.
- Sets up, adjusts, and breaks down production line machinery and completes daily documentation, as required.
- All team members are responsible for safety, including but not limited to, personal safety and food safety
- Complies with all company and USDA policies/guidelines and reports known or suspected violations
- Attends monthly and annual required training (e.g., Safety, HACCP, HR topics, LOTO, PIT)
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
Job Requirements: - At least six (6) months of mechanic work experience with one or a combination of employers, or be a graduate of an industrial maintenance training program
- At least six (6) months of continuous employment with one employer in the past two (2) years
- Requires basic computer skills to navigate systems, perform data entry, and complete training
- Ability to read manuals to repair equipment safely and to follow all safety protocols
- Ability to record information using company-provided forms and procedures
- Ability to report to work as scheduled and work scheduled hours to meet job expectations, have flexibility to work other jobs, as needed, and work weekends and overtime, as needed
- Ability to work professionally and respectfully with others while demonstrating positive interpersonal skills, and communicates effectively with all team members and management
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness
- Ability to climb up and down stairs to get to/from work areas, work at elevated levels, various heights, and in confined spaces, as applicable
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform job up to 10-12 hours/day, with appropriate breaks
- Requires bending, stooping, twisting, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching above, below, and across at shoulder level
- Ability to work in an environment where extreme temperatures range seasonally from hot/warm to cold, where conditions may be damp and/or wet, and concrete floors may be slippery in some areas
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 70+ lbs. below waist, at waist level, and above shoulder level
- Ability to flex/grip with wrists/hands and use maintenance tools
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection (plugs or muffs), hair net / beard guard, steel-toed boots, and gloves
