GSE Mechanic

Greenville, SC

Our Support in Greenville, South Carolina site is the home of the F-16 Fighting Falcon production line and provides nose-to-tail aircraft modification, maintenance, repair and overhaul services for both military and civil aircraft. For more than 35 years, the site has provided world-class and affordable sustainment services to thousands of aircraft, such as the C-130, P-3, KC-10, and C-9.

Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and refurbishment on various non-powered ground support equipment such as work stands, dollies, jacks, trailers, and more.
• Inspect, test, and operate GSE to ensure equipment serviceability.
• Disassemble, repair, clean, treat for corrosion, and reassemble GSE components.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency in using basic hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers, wrenches) and power tools (miter saws, drills, routers, etc.).
• Experience with mechanical aptitude and wood finishing (1-2 years).
• Must be able to follow local policies and safety guidelines.
• Basic electrical experience and the ability to interpret electrical schematics, engineering drawings, and diagrams.
• Desired Skills:
  
  • Experience with bending conduit and basic welding knowledge.
  • Familiarity with light electrical work and the ability to interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
