Educational and Experience Requirement:Master's degree in curriculum and instruction, instructional leadership, special education, bilingual education, or a related field required. Five years of experience in a school setting and a currently certified Texas teacher. T-TESS appraiser training is preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position:Supervises and observes paraprofessionals in the EdAide program as they pursue standard Texas teacher certification. Provides support for resident students in the EdAide program including campus visits and classroom observations.
Primary Responsibilities:Oversees education programs. May develop lesson plans. Checks out testing materials to students, assists students with questions about testing materials, grades testing materials for students and reports grades to instructor. Meets with students to discuss results. Grades testing protocols to prepare future educational diagnosticians. Maintains students' grades. Responds to technical questions and problems, some of a complex nature. Applies intermediate skills that require in-depth knowledge of functions/specialization. May perform analysis of test results to assist instructors in determining student comprehension of test instrument and provides related results. May adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to meet the more complex requirements of the position. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Other Specifications:Ability to communicate well with students. Effective oral and written communication skills required. May require some travel to classes as instructed by professor.
This is a part-time, hourly, non-benefits eligible, temporary, position working 19 hours or less per week and expected to end on or before 05/31/2026.
