As a Food Services Team Leader, the food and nutrition staff looks to you for quality and safety guidance during meal preparation, service, sanitation and this will lead to ultimate patient/resident satisfaction
STATUS: FULL TIME
LOCATION: ROCHESTER GENERAL HOSPITAL
DEPARTMENT: FOOD AND NUTRITION
SCHEDULE: 1130A - 8PM, EVERY OTHER WEEKEND
ATTRIBUTES
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation required
- One (1) to three (3) years of previous food production and supervision preferred
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Food Prep & Sanitation Management. Maintain work areas in a safe, sanitary and orderly manner; demonstrate proper equipment use, safety and sanitation techniques; prepare all food products on the food production sheets or menu, using standard recipes and proper food handling practices; assist in inventory control by maintaining organization of coolers, freezers and dry storage area; communicate expired stock and shortages in supplies in a timely manner
- Quality Assurance. Responsible for quality assurance and improvement duties specifically related to service operations and maintaining good relations while serving customers; monitor taste, temperature, appearance and portion control of items prepared
- Staff Management. Lead and train all food service team members while maintaining operational standards and regulatory guidelines; maintain staffing at appropriate, productive levels
PAY RANGE: $17.50 - $19.65
The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
