As a Fiscal Specialist 2, you will support the College of Education's faculty, staff, and students in general, with a focus on the departmental units to provide fiscal support in areas such as purchasing, travel, payroll, and personnel. You will be expected to maintain records and reconcile the purchasing cards, as well as manage and coordinate the departmental Central Travel Account (CTA). Additionally, you will process and receive reimbursements, greet guests, handle travel and payroll, perform hiring duties, and provide fiscal and administrative support.
Required Qualifications:
Two years of experience at a level equivalent to Fiscal Specialist 1 AND 15 quarter hours OR 10 semester hours of college level accounting; OR equivalent education/experience.
Three years of fiscal record management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong communication skills both orally and in writing.
Demonstrate good organizational skills and ability to prioritize projects.
Proficiency in an integrated business management system, such as Workday, Oracle or similar system.
Experience in learning and adapting to new administrative processes.
Experience working in a higher education environment.

$3,728 to $4,987 | Range 43 (Steps A - M) | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.

This position has been designated by the department to require a background check because it requires access to children or vulnerable adults as defined by RCW 74.34, engages in law enforcement, requires security clearance, interacts with WSU students in a counseling or advising capacity, has access to personal identifying and/or financial information, unsupervised access to university buildings/property, or other business-related need.
