Executive Assistant

@Orchard LLC is assisting a small Woman-Owned Federal Contractor with a high-priority search for an experienced Executive Assistant for an engagement at the Navy Yards in Washington, DC. The position does need someone holding an active Secret Clearance, who has previously supported US Navy Flag Officers or SES-level government employees, so they can step right into the role with minimal ramp-up time.

General Description: Serve as an administrative specialist and backup executive assistant for PEO aircraft carriers, working directly with the program executive officer aircraft carriers to ensure optimal operations.

About the Role:

• Maintain and deconflict schedules, facilitate meetings, escort guests, and manage correspondence.
• Assist in resolving complex acquisition, production, and in-service challenges faced by the PEO and its two program offices.
• Work with the PEO and program office personnel to develop PEO briefings, point papers, and action item responses.
• Provide specialized program management support including assisting in developing briefings, action item responses, and point papers on various topics within PEO Aircraft Carriers.
• Prepare, revise, and route official correspondence, assist with travel coordination for Admiral/SES in the Defense Travel System (DTS), manage meetings, coordinate and reserve conference rooms, take meeting minutes, create Executive Summary Memorandums for PEO correspondence as necessary.
• Order office supplies, prepare visit requests, track yearly Fitreps for all assigned military personnel, and ensure awards and plaques are completed for individuals leaving the command.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years' experience supporting Flag Officers or SESs
• Active DoD Security Clearance
• Experience with Correspondence and Award Letters
• Prior Navy Executive Officers support
• Proficient with MS Office
• US Navy Correspondence
• Former Navy Yeoman CPO/PO1 or Admin rating a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree a plus
