Who are we looking for?

Our Southeast Environmental business is looking for an Environmental Engineer, Environmental Scientist or Geologist to join their team in Fort Myers, FL! In this role, you'll work closely with our multi-discipline team to provide oversight on a variety of environmental projects in the region. Additionally, you will prepare environmental reports and permit applications for federal, state, and local government agencies. In addition, you will assist and mentor junior staff conducting field data collection and monitoring at project sites.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

  • Performing a variety of duties for environmental projects to include but not limited to investigation, remediation, and monitoring
  • Planning and implementing environmental field work such as wetland delineations, habitat assessments, monitoring well installation, surface and groundwater monitoring, and due diligence assessments
  • Preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals, technical reports, work plans, and project specifications including cost estimates for both internal and external client review
  • Preparation of subsurface data
  • Support existing GHD clients with the implementation of efficient and innovative solutions to address their project needs
  • Coordinate technical projects: maintaining client happiness while ensuring projects are delivered safely and within scope, schedule, and budget
  • Establish and develop strategic long-term relationships with current clients, new clients and prospective teaming partners
What you will bring to the team:
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in either Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology or relevant field of study
  • 7-12 years of experience in professional environmental experience (i.e., stream, wetland, and environmental surveys, sampling, permitting, etc.)
  • Ability to present technical information, both written and orally, in a concise and professional manner
  • Familiarity with local, state and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements
  • Ability to effectively communicate with other technical professionals, clients, and regulatory officials is a must
  • Ability to work both within a team and independently
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Able and willing to travel to job sites as needed for field activities
