Volt is immediately hiring for an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Tech for an industry leader in Aerospace and Defense in Irvine Ca
As an Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician you will:
- Perform cable assembly with crimping and soldering.
- Assemble PCBs with through-hole and SMT components.
- Assemble electro-mechanical systems, including cables, PCBs, electrical enclosures, and custom racks, involving cable routing and point-to-point wiring.
- Read and interpret drawings, wiring lists, schematics, and bills of materials.
- Use small hand tools to modify plastic and metal parts.
- Operate metal fabricating equipment like drill presses, brakes, and cutoff saws.
- Redline electrical and mechanical drawings and coordinate with the appropriate person to implement changes.

The ideal candidate will have:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or senior level, self-starter with over or minimum of ten (10) years' experience in a manufacturing environment
- IPC Certifications
- IPC-A-610
- IPC/WHMA-A-620
- J-STD-001
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization.
Pay Rate: $25.00-$32.00
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
