JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage and other supply chain management services, including consulting, the coordination of purchase orders and customized management services.
In this role, the Domestic Transport Specialist will manage, and process transactions related to domestic transportation, covering trucking across border locations as well as local deliveries to customer plants, warehouses, or direct clients. This may include shipments to destinations such as Hawaii, Alaska, as well as cross-border into Mexico, and Canada. Responsibilities include handling daily operational tasks and administrative duties, such as coordinating driver schedules, overseeing the loading and unloading of trailers, managing cross-docking activities, and providing excellent customer service.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Shipment Booking and Routing: Coordinate and schedule shipments to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Quoting: Provide accurate quotes for shipments.

Tracking and Customer Communication: Monitor shipment status, provide updates, and address customer inquiries promptly.

Customer Relationship Management: Anticipate customer needs to build and maintain strong relationships.

Collaboration: Work closely with sales and other team members to address customer concerns proactively, contributing to improved business performance.

Logistics Coordination: Organize domestic shipment logistics in a professional and efficient manner.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:- The incumbent will not directly and/or indirectly supervise employees
QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: Minimum of 2 years in domestic truckload operations.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with transportation, trucking, and delivery processes, as well as experience with tracking and tracing IT systems.

- Multitasking Ability: Skillful in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Required 2 years' experience working in transportation or trucking service delivery.
- Preferred experience working in CargoWise (C1), and ExWorks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Preferred High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
ENVIRONMENT:100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and finger to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 25 pounds.ADDITIONAL:In compliance with Washington state law, we provide pay transparency for all job applicants. The salary range for this position is $26-31/Hour, this is based on factors such as experience, qualifications, and the responsibilities of the role. The offered salary will fall within this range, depending on individual qualifications and market conditions.
