This is what you will do:
The Director, US Marketing is a key member of the commercial NF1 PN brand team and will play a critical role in developing and driving strategy and tactics for HCP and patient engagement. This individual will support the commercialization efforts for Koselugo, a MEK 1/2 inhibitor, approved by the FDA in April 2020, for the treatment of plexiform neurofibromas associated with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1), a rare, incurable genetic condition. This individual will report to the ED NF1 PN Marketing.
You will be responsible for:
- Strategic planning for NF1 PN US business across HCP and patient stakeholders including the development of brand strategy plan
- Developing deep customer insights through market research, advisory boards and ongoing KOL Engagements to inform marketing strategy and tactics
- Tracking and monitoring business performance indicators
- Developing and maintaining strong relationships with other functional areas and internal strategic partners (i.e., Sales, TLLs, Training, Patient Services, Promotional Review Committee, Medical, Regulatory, Clinical, Legal, Compliance, etc.)
- Leading strategic oversight to media plan development & performance measurement
- Partnering with commercial analytics & insights teams to assess current patient market landscape dynamics, identifying opportunities to increase awareness of treatment benefit for appropriate patients, and leading primary & secondary patient research projects
- Contributing to the annual planning process, leading the short & long-term patient strategy assessment and evolution, tactical marketing plan development, and annual budgeting
- Aiding the launch of the new indication for Koselugo in the adult indication
- Communicating via written and oral presentations about marketing progress to senior commercial and medical leadership
- Managing marketing budgets and resources including brand AOR
- Working with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with the company's code of Ethics and Business Conduct
You will need to have:
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years of professional experience; prefer marketing, sales, agency, or health care experience
- Track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies and tactics that have delivered strong commercial results
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to collaborate in a matrix environment
- Track record that demonstrates the ability to build high performing teams and support individuals in their professional development
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects across functional areas, and work independently when appropriate, in teams and as a sub-team lead
- The duties of this role are generally conducted in an office environment. - Advanced degree, MBA
- Strong scientific orientation and background
- Rare disease/high-value biologics experience
