Position: Data Analyst / Statistician
Location: Emeryville (Hybrid)
Schedule: Hybrid: 3 days in-office, 2 remote. Start between 8:30-9:00 AM with a 30-minute to 1-hour lunch.
Compensation: $80,000-$110,000 annually

Role OverviewThe Data Analyst will work closely with project managers and attorneys to analyze wage-and-hour exposure, damages, and other employment litigation-related data. This includes examining pay stubs, violations, and other data from discovery to provide actionable insights. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in data analytics, statistical analysis, and legal processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze employment data for wage-and-hour, wrongful termination, class action, and PAGA claims.
- Extract, clean, and structure data from various sources for analysis.
- Perform statistical analyses and create reports for internal and client-facing use.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Collaborate with attorneys and stakeholders, presenting findings in an accessible manner.
- Create and document processes for data extraction, cleaning, and analysis.
- Proactively explore data for trends and insights.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent experience).
- At least 3 years of experience in a data analytics role supporting employment litigation.
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with SQL is a plus.
- Experience with compensation data and visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to explain technical concepts to non-experts.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to manage projects independently.
