The Continuous Improvement or CI Engineer promotes the use of formal Lean Six Sigma tools and methods to improve processes. This role requires a change agent that will lead the plant in identifying variation and waste, solving the problem, and creating methods to sustain solutions, while using and promoting formal Lean Six Sigma methodology.*Your Passion. **Our Culture.*

*What You Do.*



* Lead improvement projects.

* Leadership for the identification and implementation of CI events, tools, methods, process, and other opportunities throughout Operations to meet and sustain operational goals through standard work.

* Lead & develop others in our improvement process and formal problem solving at plant level

* Identifies and implements enhancements for Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and employee work life by studying process requirements through researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.

* Applies statistical methods and performs system/product/process analysis.  

* Assures product and process quality by validating testing methods, reviewing finished- product and process capabilities, establishing standards, and confirming manufacturing processes.

* Evaluates, improves and documents manufacturing processes.

* Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities and other considerations to facilitate improvements to processes.

* Works with Production and Operations Leadership as an effective team facilitator or team member to improve manufacturing processes

* Minimal travel between facilities is required / overnight travel would be rare.

* Duties and responsibilities will require occasional work outside the regularly scheduled work hours  


 

* **Your Education and Experience.*



* 4-year degree in a relevant area (Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering degrees are a plus)

* Minimum 5 years of progressive manufacturing or engineering experience combined with relevant technical experience.

* Must be willing to commit to entering ASQ certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (at company's expense)
