Compliance Manager - Office of Healthcare Affordability (OHCA)
Location: This position will take part in Elevance Health's hybrid workforce strategy which includes virtual work and 1-2 days in office per week in one of the selected offices in the posting.
The Compliance Manager will be focused to support compliance with the Office of Healthcare Affordability (OHCA). The focus will be on requirements for California with the expectation of expansion to other states. Understanding and support of all three workstreams regarding data, quality, and advocacy.
The Manager will be responsible for coordinating all compliance activities required by this new regulator. The Manager will also work closely with our government relations office, the Reporting COE, local plan leadership, and the State Compliance Director to ensure a complete program is in place to interact with this regulator.

Primary duties with advanced complexity and broad/enterprise scale may include, but are not limited to:
- Candidates need to be able to collect, review, and analyze intricate data and be able to extract meaningful insights from it.
- Candidates should be thorough and careful when approaching tasks, ensuring they pick up on any discrepancies or irregularities in the data.
- Data reviewers must often explain their findings to others in the organization, so strong verbal and written communication skills are important.
- To interpret and analyze data, having strong mathematical abilities can be highly beneficial.
- With often large amounts of data to analyze, the ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines is crucial.
- Having a grasp on the data standards and trends in the specific industry can be highly advantageous.
- Establishing project plans, gap analysis, milestone dates, and other significant aspects, and leadership updates.
- Maintaining knowledge of laws, regulations, company strategies to assess impact, and consult with clients as subject matter expert.
- Ability to travel may be required.
Minimum Requirements:- Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 6 years health care, regulatory, ethics, compliance or privacy experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- Strong leadership/managerial skills and ability to motivate/coach other staff strongly preferred.
- MS/MBA/JD or professional designation preferred.
For candidates working in person or remotely in the below location(s), the salary* range for this specific position is $89,460 to $146,970.
