Communications Coordinator

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Job Description:

Chegg is seeking a skilled Communications Coordinator to join our Communications, Policy and Impact team. The Communications Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting multiple aspects of the Communications operation including assisting with key initiatives, coordinating project implementation, as well as providing planning, budgets and contracting support. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proactive, have excellent communication skills, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

Project and Content Coordination:

  • Drive project coordination, including developing project scope, tracking timelines, identifying resource needs, and documenting progress and outcomes.

  • Draft project status updates, ensuring team alignment and accountability on deliverables for ongoing initiatives.

  • Track and document deliverables and best practices for future learnings.

  • Support Communications strategic planning process

  • Manage legal review process for key initiatives

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refresh content, optimize user experience, and implement best practices.

  • Monitor content performance metrics and website analytics across channels to measure performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Coordinate comprehensive content strategy aligned with company objectives.

  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support developing and leveraging informative content across communications channels

Budget and Contract Management:

  • Work closely with team to develop and manage budgets for department, including annual budget planning and forecasting.

  • Monitor expenses and financial performance, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.

  • Spearhead procurement, tracking, and renewal of vendor relationships including negotiations, contracting, managing PO and invoices, and onboarding new vendors.

Team Coordination:

  • Coordinate between cross-functional divisions to facilitate collaboration and alignment on key initiatives, OKRs and deliverables.

  • Train staff on new and existing mission-critical tools

  • Plan monthly staff meetings and engagement activities.

  • Other duties as assigned

Skills & Competencies:

  • Fluent in project management tools including Smartsheet, Jira and Confluence

  • Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment

  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to prioritize, problem-solve and think critically.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse teams or stakeholders

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Collaborative and energetic with a positive, can-do attitude.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, or a related field, OR at least three (3) years equivalent work experience as part of a marketing or communications team.

  • Proven experience managing budgets and contracts required.

  • Prior experience in Edtech, higher education or AI sectors is a plus

Location:

The position will be based in our Santa Clara headquarters. Chegg employees are expected to work in the office a minimum of two days per week, and more as required.

The pay range for this position is $85,131 to $158,101. The actual pay will vary based on geographic location, job requirements, professional experience, and other factors.
