JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Clinical Crisis Intern

Location: Walk-in Center

Student Supervisor's Credentials: LCSW, LAC

Brief Program Description: The Walk-in Crisis Center serves anyone who is experiencing a self-identified behavioral health or substance use crisis. We focus on helping an individual address their immediate concerns and identify possible next steps for their well-being. All services are voluntary. We provide the following services: crisis assessments, supportive counseling, community resources, Families Reunited, and referrals to higher levels of care.

Title and Hours required: Clinical Crisis Intern, 16 to 20 hours a week, Thursdays and Fridays

Minimum Qualifications and # of openings: In second year of MSW program, completed first internship and a diagnosis course. 1 opening. Professional experience in the mental health field.

Duties of Placement and Miscellaneous Information: Meet with individuals who come to the WIC for crisis services. Complete assessments and screening with individuals to determine the best service to meet their needs. Provide one-time counseling sessions, psychoeducation, and referrals as needed.
