Contract - 2024-2025 School Year with High Schoolers

Hours: Mon-Fri school hours

Summary:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a crucial role in supporting medical staff by administering care to students with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities. You'll work closely with the health services coordinator, school nurse, teachers, and therapists to provide optimal educational experiences for students.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with student health and hygiene needs, including administering basic first aid, diapering, toileting, dressing, and feeding.
• Collaborate with the student's school nurse, teacher, and therapists to enhance the student's learning experience.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and ensure health compliance.
• Effectively communicate with students, supervising nurses, classroom teachers, co-workers, and others.
• Implement instructional plans as directed by licensed teachers and therapists.
• Observe, document, and reinforce appropriate student behaviors, communicating activities to teachers and facilitators.
• Assist with non-instructional activities.
• Follow established policies and procedures for safely managing, operating, and cleaning equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Graduate of a Certified Nursing Assistant Program from an accredited educational institution
• Current CPR/AED certification
