Business Analyst III

Location: Topeka KS, or Olathe, KS
This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Kansas Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The Business Analyst III is responsible for serving as the liaison between the business and IT in translating complex business needs into application software.

How you will make an impact:

• Facilitating and responding to ad hoc data requests from the State and internal business units, coordinating, reviewing, and validating all data and reports sent to the State, and acting as a resource to ensure appropriate data and data analytic support and services are available to support Rapid-Cycle Process Improvement efforts.
• Analyzes complex end user needs to determine optimal means of meeting those needs.
• Determines specific business application software requirements to address complex business needs.
• Develops project plans and identifies and coordinates resources, involving those outside the unit.
• Works with programming staff to ensure requirements will be incorporated into system design and testing.
• Acts as a resource to users of the software to address questions/issues.
• May provide direction and guidance to team members and serves as an expert for the team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 5 years business analysis experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

• Three (3) years of experience aggregating disparate data sets and analyzing data with the intent of identifying trends and opportunities for improvement is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of systems capabilities and business operations is strongly preferred.
