Role Title: Senior Business Systems Analyst

Location: Remote

Duration: 1+ year contract

Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead data mapping and integration for their new Sustainability software. This role requires a self-starter with strong integration and mapping experience, capable of working independently to gather all necessary requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Lead medium to high complexity projects within the Sustainability product team.
• Achieve project objectives on time, adhering to our client's Agile/Scrum framework.
• Guide business customers through business case development, including cost/benefit and risk/impact analysis.
• Define and manage system scope and objectives through front-end analysis and research.
• Analyze business strategy and user needs, document specifications, and translate business objectives into system requirements.
• Create and manage project user stories using Azure DevOps.
• Manage and develop enhancements; oversee QA and acceptance testing.
• Support assigned applications and ensure secondary resources are trained and competent.
• Minimize application support load by refining error management and triaging to the Service Center.
• Stay updated on industry trends and present technical solutions to enhance customer value.
• Collaborate with other business analysts, technical staff, and management.
• Maintain and promote a strong safety culture.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of business systems analyst experience, including:
  • Defining and managing system scope and objectives.
  • Gathering and preparing detailed user stories and process flow diagrams.
  • Creating and modifying procedures to solve complex issues.
• 3+ years of experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Experience in change management, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong communication, project organization, and management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Business Management, or related field.
• Project Management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Visio, Azure DevOps, and SQL Server.
• Knowledge of sustainability industry or specific apps like Watershed and Arcadia is a plus.
