Summary of Job Responsibilities:

This individual will provide excellent rheumatology consultative and follow-up care at Uhealth Solé Mia located in North Miami and at Uhealth medical campus located in Downtown Miami. He/ She will also provide inpatient and out-patient medical consultation at the University of Miami hospital and Jackson Memorial Hospital. Engagement in teaching and scholarly activities that are an institutional service and are seen as essential parts of the position, including participation in quality improvement and systems compliance initiatives, and Division/ Departmental Medical School and University-wide service and conferences.

Outline of additional responsibilities include but are not Limited to:

  • Maintain outpatient clinical practice at Uhealth Solé Mia 50% of time and main medical campus other 50%.
  • Maintain outpatient clinical practice diagnosing and treating adult patients with arthritis and other types of musculoskeletal diseases.
  • Close Encounters within 72 hours of visits.
  • Rotate on night and weekend call proportionate to other faculty.
  • Rotate on attending schedule at University of Miami hospital and Jackson Memorial Hospital proportionate to other faculty.

    Qualifications:
  • MD Degree and ACGME US internal medicine internship and residency
  • Completed 2 year ACGME US Rheumatology fellowship
  • Valid American Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology (or board eligible)
  • Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
  • BLS certification
  • Valid DEA licensure

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Completion of US ACGME 2-year rheumatology fellowship
  • Must maintain CME to meet institutional and state licensing requirements
  • Must have excellent clinical knowledge and experience to provide safe and quality care to patients and meet institutional standards of care
