CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Division of Nuclear Medicine in the Department of Diagnostic Radiology, University of Miami Health System and Leonard Miller School of Medicine, is seeking a fellowship-trained candidate for a full-time faculty position at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Professor in the clinical educator track.

The successful applicant will join a faculty of 70 clinical radiologists who are involved in imaging at multiple facilities, including Jackson Memorial Hospital (a primary, tertiary, and quaternary care County hospital) and from the University of Miami Hospitals and Clinics. CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
- Active clinical practice in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Participation in the advancement and education of diagnostic radiology medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Experience in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics is highly desired as the Division is quite active in conventional and new therapies for thyroid cancer, lymphoma, neuroendocrine tumors, and prostate cancer, to name a few.
- Supervise the performance of technical personnel.
- Be part of the on-call schedule.
- Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of Nuclear Medicine.
- Provide Nuclear Medicine consultation as requested.
- Staff off-site outpatient imaging sites as requested by the Division Director or Chair.
- Assume administrative responsibilities related to the practice of Nuclear Medicine.
- Participate in teaching activities related to Nuclear Medicine as required in:
- Diagnostic Radiology and integrated Diagnostic Radiology/Interventional Radiology Residency programs
- Nuclear Medicine Fellowship Program
- Medical student education program
- Radiologic technologist educational programs
- Continuing Medical Education programs
- Potential participation in the development and management of new and ongoing clinical research.
- Serve on Departmental and University committees as requested by the Chair.

Thus, the incumbent will be expected to participate in didactic teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows and attend and actively participate in seminars and other educational lectures. Teaching also includes participating in the supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows who are involved in direct patient care. As a faculty member, we also anticipate that you will actively participate - attending meetings, Grand Rounds, and other University scholarly activities.

- Nuclear Medicine Fellowship
Certification and Licensing:
- American Board of Radiology (ABR) Certified or Board Eligible
- Nuclear Medicine Board (ABNM) Certified or Board Eligible
- Florida Medical License or Eligible
Experience: - Competitive applicants will have completed at least 1 year of dedicated subspecialty fellowship training in Nuclear Medicine. The incumbent must be dual board certified (ABR and ABNM). Prior experience in a university faculty setting preferred but not required.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:
- Experience in radiopharmaceutical therapy and theranostics is highly desired as the Division is quite active in conventional and new therapies for thyroid cancer, lymphoma, neuroendocrine tumors, and prostate cancer, to name a few.
- In addition to the rich clinical experience, faculty will participate in teaching residents, fellows, and medical students, as well as clinical research, journal club, and weekly multidisciplinary conference.
