Eurofins Test America is searching for an Application Developer , in Seattle WA. Other possible locations are Denver, CO

and Lancaster, PA

Application Developer/Chrom Programmer and Implementer

Job Summary:

Chrom is an in-house developed chromatography software written in C# with a Windows forms/Infragistics UI. Chrom Programmers will work with the legacy code to help troubleshoot issues, development new features, and refactor to increase maintainability. Implementers install the Chrom product into new laboratories while minimizing disruption to existing operations. Trains and provides first level problem resolution during the conversion efforts. Work with the lab and QA to ensure accurate data reporting. Provide second level problem resolution of Helpdesk requests during off times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Design and code new functionality.
  2. Troubleshoot Chrom software problems and implement fixes.
  3. Refactor legacy code to increase maintainability.
  4. Train and assists users on the functionality of the Chrom product.
  5. Provide after hour on-call support for Chrom issues.
  6. Position requires about 50% out-of-town travel for meetings, training, and assistance at laboratories that are the target of conversion efforts.
  7. Test new software releases to verify functionality.

Secondary Duties:
  1. Produce reports and provide data as needed for managerial purposes.
  2. Participate in change management conference calls.
  3. Provides information/support to other team members as needed.
  4. Produce training documentation and materials.
  5. Gather requirements and help write change specifications.

Requirements:
  1. In depth understanding of C# or other object orientated programming language.
  2. In depth understanding of object orientated programming design.
  3. In depth understanding of Chrom use cases and functionality.
  4. 1+ years as a chromatographer.
  5. Willingness to travel.
  6. Understanding of relational databases.
  7. Ability to speak in front of groups of people.
  8. Good written and verbal communication skills

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m., with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Seattle, WA are encouraged to apply.
