Job Summary

Are you ready to kick-start your IT career? Join us as an Application Support Intern and be at the forefront of technology in a dynamic environment! As part of our Business Solutions team, you'll provide hands-on support for business systems and applications, troubleshoot real-world challenges, and contribute to the success of our SAP implementation. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work closely with IT professionals, tackle help desk tickets, and gain valuable experience with ERP systems like SAP and NetSuite.

This position is expected to start remote or Oldcastle headquarters in Atlanta, Ga around May 2025 and continue through the entire summer term (i.e. through August 2025). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time, for most internships.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide Frontline Support: Assist end-users by addressing help desk tickets and resolving application issues with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Document and Analyze: Keep detailed records of issues, changes, and resolutions while helping to document processes for future use.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work alongside the service desk, IT teams, and business units to improve application performance and usage.
  • Explore ERP Systems: Gain hands-on experience with SAP, NetSuite, and other enterprise platforms during our SAP implementation journey.
  • Troubleshoot and Improve: Investigate system errors, analyze logs, and suggest enhancements to optimize functionality.
  • Learn and Grow: Shadow experienced analysts, participate in system updates, and build technical and problem-solving skills.

Job Requirements

  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior currently pursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with IT support processes (e.g., Incident Management, Change Management) and an eagerness to learn ERP systems like SAP.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze issues, identify solutions, and work with teams to implement fixes.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to support colleagues across the business.
  • Tools You'll Use: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases is a plus.
