Eurofins Air Toxics, Inc. is the global expert in environmental air testing. Our capabilities extend from trace level measurements required for indoor air testing to identifying and quantifying organics in high-level sources.

Eurofins Air Toxics Inc. is searching for an Analyst in Folsom, CA.

Analyst responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :

• Analyze samples utilizing various instrumentations

• Prepare samples for analysis

• Perform data reduction using Target

• Read, understand, and carry out Standard Operating procedures required by the method, Air Toxics methods, clients, or internal procedures

• Perform all documentation, sample preparation, analysis, and data handling following SOPs or methods

• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on the instruments

• Strong organization with the ability to manage and meet project deadlines

• Proactively communicate production and quality issues to management

• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Identify problem areas and suggest solutions for continuous improvements of efficiency, productivity, and quality

• Effective communication skills, both written and oral

• Demonstrate and promotes the company vision

• Understand and use Air toxics LIMS system

• Prepare calibration standards

• Perform other duties as assigned

The ideal candidate would possess :

• Strong sense of initiative, hands-on approach and the ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a fast paced environment

• Strong organization and time management skills in order to meet project deadlines

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

• Strong team working skills and the ability to conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner

• A minimum of 2 years recent laboratory experience

• Technical understanding in the operation and theory GC/MS instrumentation

• Regular attendance and punctuality

• B.S in Chemistry or related science

• Strong computer skills (MS Word and Excel)

• Experience with SW-846 protocols

• Ability to exercise independent judgment and effectively use resources to solve problems

• Detail oriented with a hands-on approach and the ability to work efficiently and accurately within a fast paced environment

• Able to perform the physical requirements of the job

• Able to work a full-time shift (M-F) during training; flexible to rotate weekends and overtime as necessary

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision

Basic Minimum Qualifications :

• At least 2 years of recent related laboratory experience and a Bachelor's degree in a science related field from a four-year college or university

• Adherence to safety protocol and operation procedures

• Excellent customer service; resourceful and collaborative approach in solving problems

• Function in an environment of constant change and conflicting priorities

• Communicate well with coworkers and management

• Read, understand and comply with SOPs

• Ability to concentrate, focus, and be attentive to details

• Use a keyboard to enter data

• Work under medium to high stress level

• Ability to exercise independent judgment and effectively use resources to solve problems

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a continuous basis and stand for prolonged periods

• Work upright, bend and use hands and arms repetitively to perform moderate physical work duties

• The ability to push carts with objects on board weighing up to 50 pounds

• Hearing and speaking needed to listen effectively and talk with individuals in person or on the phone

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include; close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Position is full-time Mon-Fri days with flexibility to work OT and weekends shifts; schedule may change to swing or Tue-Sat after the initial training, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Folsom, California are encouraged to apply.
