RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Hackensack, NJ that is seeking an Alternative Investments Accountant.Responsibilities:- Performs daily accounting activities in accordance with generally accepted accounting procedures, such as, maintenance of the general ledger and preparation of various accounting statements and financial reports
- Supporting the Investor Services and Investor Allocations teams acting as a subject matter expert in areas included but not limited to investor allocations, fee calculations and investor return calculations
- Reviews and prepares offline and system generated calculations to support new fund launches and existing fund updates including but not limited to: complex expense and waterfall/incentive fee calculations, regular and specialized PnL allocations, performance metrics, such as IRR, MOIC, ROR on a partner, tranche or fund basis based on the terms of the offering documents
- Proactively identifies issues through review of qualitative and quantitative data, anticipates obstacles and then implements mitigating solutions
- Builds relationships with stakeholders, including project managers, and IT professionals, to ensure that project goals are aligned, and communication is effective
- Completes system testing before releases
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent experience
- Two to three years of experience in alternative investments industry
- General knowledge and understanding of the private funds (private equity, private credit) industry
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Basic knowledge of Advent applications preferred
- Proactive critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and documentation skills
- Proven team-oriented, organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
