Accounts Payable Specialist

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join a dynamic Finance team. This role will report to the Director of Finance and requires a strong understanding of accounts payable processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to efficiently manage a high volume of transactions. Responsibilities will include supporting vendor relationships, processing invoices, managing payroll, and ensuring timely payments while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness.
• Schedule and process payments through checks, ACH, or wire transfers, ensuring timely disbursements.
• Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies and billing issues.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and address any discrepancies between vendor statements and internal records.
• Maintain organized records of all accounts payable transactions for audit purposes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and assist with audits as required.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on accounts payable status, including aging reports and cash flow forecasts.
• Process payroll as needed using the ADP Run platform.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
• Experience with Concur is strongly preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems is preferred.
• Certification in Accounts Payable or related fields (e.g., AP Certification) is a plus.
