Columbia Forest Products is looking for an experienced Accounting Assistant for the Old Fort, North Carolina manufacturing facility. This is an opportunity to be an employee owner for the premier North American supplier of decorative hardwood veneer and plywood. Columbia is an environmentally sensitive industry innovator. The Accounting Assistant reports to the Plant Controller.
Responsibilities include:
- Accounts Payable
- Processing of daily production reports.
- Weekly payroll reporting.
- Performing general office duties as assigned, including but not limited to, file maintenance, data entry, word-processing, photocopying, and other special projects as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 year experience processing Accounts Payable.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of office and administrative procedures, including phone and customer relations protocol.
- Working knowledge of basic office machine/equipment (computer, calculator, fax machine, copier etc.)
Candidate should have the ability to sit for long periods of time (up to 8-hours per day), and ability to move throughout the office and mill when necessary.
