Current Need

The primary focus of this role is working with Accounting Manager and USON Practices to identify process improvement opportunities and drive them to completion while participating in all month-end close activities.

The essential skill requirements of this role are empowering the team, embracing change, and enjoying working in an environment where change is encouraged, and an impact can be made. To be successful the candidate needs complete working knowledge of the entire accounting close process, willing to manage large volumes of journal entries and account reconciliations, and good technical ability with Excel. Finally, a successful candidate is able to influence and persuade stakeholders throughout the organization, as well as embrace change throughout all levels of the organization.

Position Description

  • Manage monthly close, analytics, and control activities
  • Participate in quarterly and annual reporting for Non-Network businesses
  • Manage approval and review of monthly reconciliations and journal entries
  • Prepare and manage ad hoc analysis
  • Work closely with all McKesson Specialty Health accounting functions
  • Support of multiple internal and external customers
  • Identify opportunities for McKesson best practices and manage implementations of solutions for process improvements
  • Ability to work independently

Minimum Requirements

Degree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience

Critical Skills
  • 3+ years general ledger accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of general accounting functions, such as Accounts Receivable/Payable/Fixed Assets and their impact on the general ledger
  • Project/Process Management - Must have a demonstrated ability to lead projects or handle large, complex processes.
  • Mindset that is oriented to constantly drive process improvement
  • Self-starter, with the ability to provide very detailed financial statement analysis
  • Proven ability to multi-task while meeting various deadlines

Additional Knowledge & Skills
  • Experience in Blackline and PeopleSoft beneficial
  • Account reconciliation and Journal entry experience helpful
  • Essbase (Smartview and HFM) experience helpful
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills to effectively interact with a wide variety of people
  • Advanced Excel skills (daily use of vlookups, pivot tables, sumifs, if statements) needed

Salary: 71,700.00 - 95,600.00 - 119,500.00 USD Annual (Target, 87K)

Our Base Pay Range for this position

$71,700 - $119,500
