Abrams Heavy Equipment Mechanic (SCA)
Fort Bliss, TX
Contract Position
Pay: $22.30-$24.30/hr
Join a team dedicated to designing and producing armored combat and support vehicles. As a prime mover in ground force capabilities, this firm provides innovative solutions that ensure the safety and effectiveness of military personnel worldwide, focusing on durability, mobility, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in program planning, scheduling, and maintenance techniques for Abrams Fleet Vehicles and other tracked/wheeled vehicles.
- Identify and resolve technical issues, providing maintenance support alongside Field Service Representatives.
- Perform maintenance tasks and other duties as assigned by leadership.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience on Abrams Tanks (M1A1ED, M1A2SEP V2, M104, HAB) or similar tracked/wheeled vehicles.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to obtain access to U.S. military bases and facilities.
- Must be a U.S. person and possess a valid state driver's license (tank driver's license may be required).
- Ability to meet the physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds, working at heights, and operating in various weather conditions.
- Familiarity with Microsoft applications.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaborate with government personnel.
- Willingness to travel as needed to support maintenance, fielding, and retrofit activities.
